Rain and Thunder in Bellingham

Pumpkin Cupcakes

Fall is here and it's rainy blustery day in Bellingham. Chris and I are huddled under blankets on the couch, reading. This delightful confectionery creation by Clares Cupcakes in the UK makes me want to snuggle up with a cup of hot buttered rum, one of these delicious cupcakes and not move off this couch for hours.

Then again, I just looked out our window overlooking Lake Samish and saw two kayakers paddling by in the middle of a torrential downpour, complete with thunder for sound effects. Perhaps I'm just too lazy and need to expand my horizons off the couch.

Either way, these cupcakes would be for a great reward after a drenching kayak workout or a sweet afternoon couch snack.
